You're still following the same skincare routine , but your skin feels drier, dehydrated, and tighter than usual. What's going on? Your skin is feeling the winter weather, the drier air, the increasingly cold temperatures... Just as the seasons change, so does your skincare routine. Skin is exposed to the environment every second of the day; it senses changes immediately and reacts .
That's why we're sharing our tips to help you adapt your skincare routine to best cope with winter.
1. Choose a gentler cleanser
Your skin becomes more sensitive during colder weather and will thank you for choosing gentler products than the ones you used in the summer. How do you know if your cleanser is ideal? Pay attention to your skin after cleansing: does it feel refreshed or does it tighten quickly? Always look for products that leave your skin feeling refreshed.
2. Hydrate
The key to healthy skin during the cold? Moisturize in layers.
During fall and winter, our skin produces less natural oils… which means you need deeper and more frequent hydration.
In addition to drinking plenty of water, we recommend:
- Apply facial serum. Winter is the perfect time to incorporate serum into your daily routine. If you haven't already, we recommend trying the Royal Caviar facial serum , containing black caviar extract and hyaluronic acid.
- Opt for a moisturizer with a thicker texture . In warmer weather, we opt for lighter creams, but in colder weather, it's better to prioritize thicker ones. We recommend a moisturizer based on natural ingredients.
3. Exfoliation
Tired of your dull, lackluster skin tone in winter? Exfoliation helps restore the radiance and vitality lost during these months. Like your cleanser, we suggest choosing a gentler exfoliant to avoid irritation or discomfort.
4. Take care of your hands
Hands are the ones that suffer the most: they are exposed at all times and with so much washing and alcohol gel they become extremely dry.
Our recommendation? Take care of them with a good natural soap and hand cream that you can take with you wherever you go.
5. Don't forget the rest of your body!
It's cold, we're covered from head to toe, and we forget that the skin underneath all those clothes also gets stressed by the changes. Keep your whole body hydrated by applying a moisturizing body cream after showering, before going to bed, and whenever you feel it needs it.
Follow these recommendations and you'll be ready to live with winter.
You, how do you prepare your skin for the cold?
